AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
